Neon Metropolis

Through the month of February 2023, I had the honor of designing the artwork that was displayed every night on the 11,000 LEDs that makeup one of the largest public art installation world, atop the Salesforce Tower in SF. Neon Metropolis is inspired by the iconic science fiction film Metropolis by Fritz Lang. Drawing on the themes of Metropolis, I created Neon Metropolis as an homage to San Francisco as a hub of innovation, creativity, and human aspiration. Through a dynamic interplay of light, color, and visual rhythms, Neon Metropolis captures the energy and vitality of the urban environment. The installation features a mesmerizing display of ascending patterns and shapes, pulsating to the rhythm of the city's heartbeat. It invites the viewer to contemplate the interplay between technology and humanity, and to reflect on the possibilities of a brighter, more vibrant future.
